The EC shared a detailed plan to build a strong and sustainable algae industry within the EU. This initiative<strong>\u00a0promotes the diversified use of algae<\/strong>\u00a0for food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and energy production. If successful, the EU algae industry could encourage other sectors to adopt eco-friendly and innovative practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1510\" style=\"width:387px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/impress-he.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/pexels-tony-haggerty-3719372-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2022 the EC created the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maritime-forum.ec.europa.eu\/theme\/blue-economy-and-fisheries\/blue-economy\/eu4algae_en\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">European Algae Stakeholder forum (EU4Algae Forum)<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>, which serves as a platform where public and private algae stakeholders collectively promote and advance the EU Algae Initiative\u2019s goals. This dynamic space serves not only as a forum for open dialogue but also aims to foster market-driven breakthroughs within the algae sector.
