Comex, a key partner in the IMPRESS project, is responsible for developing smart label prototype food packaging aimed at confirming product authenticity and extending shelf-life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the visit, Prof. Ramesh reviewed the biopolymer films developed by TCD, which Comex is utilising as substrates for printing NFC labels. These innovative materials integrate eco-friendly biopolymers with cutting-edge NFC technology to enhance <strong>transparency<\/strong>, <strong>traceability<\/strong>, and <strong>consumer engagement<\/strong>. NFC-enabled biopolymers allow users immediate access to information on product origins, sustainability certifications, and proper disposal methods, supporting informed and eco-conscious choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof. Ramesh also met with Comex\u2019s CEO, <strong>Ms. Marzena Kostrzewa<\/strong>, and Director of Automatic Identification Systems, <strong>Mr. Jonasz Borowski<\/strong>, to evaluate the project&#8217;s progress and explore its future trajectory.
